List of measurement results reported to the European Commission on the radiation exposure of Japanese foods
Description
On 11 March 2011, a major reactor accident occurred at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan. In order to protect consumers in Europe from radioactively polluted food from Japan, EU-wide import rules were adopted and controls were carried out. The control results of the Länder notified to the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) show that all samples were well below the applicable limit values.
The data set contains anomymised results of the radioactivity regulations of foodstuffs originating in or consigned from Japan which are subject to the special conditions governing imports of food and feed originating in or consigned from Japan (currently: EU Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2058
