The current state of gravel pits and the need for refurbishment (SOKKA) 2009
Description
Digitised wells of the mapping project on the current state and the need for remediation of soil extraction areas in groundwater areas. The data have been combined with the well boundaries of the Pori sub-region, with partially different classifications. The classifications used are the aftercare classification, which mainly describes the landscape of the pit and the classification of the need for remediation, which describes the risk to groundwater caused by the operations in the pit area. The material has been produced in the Sokka project in cooperation between the Regional Council of Southwest Finland and the Southwest Finland Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment, and the project report is available on the ELY Centre's website. Post-care categories: class 1 after-care, class 2 mainly after-care, 3 partly after-care, 4 un after-care, 5 taking underway. Classification of refurbishment needs: category 0 very large, 1 large, urgent, 2 moderate, 3 minor, 4 in accordance with the soil permit.
