(former) Old dikes (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)
Description
This file contains (former) old dikes as established in the Environment Vision Groningen province 2016-2020.
Dikes are a core characteristic of our province. We protect these values. These include:
• (sleeper) dikes and related elements such as flasks, drinking dobs, denominations and shot beam houses);
• Recognizable dike routes;
• Slate dikes.
We have included rules for this in the Environment Regulation. We encourage the recovery and strengthening of weeds, ashs and dikes and the related elements with instruments through the Rural Area Programme
