Car ownership in the metropolitan area

Description

The data contains data on the autonomy of cities in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area for the years 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2020. Data for 2000-2017 include data for Helsinki, Espoo and Kauniainen, and data for 2020 includes data for Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. The data produced is based on the YKR data of the Finnish Environment Institute. The regional divisions of the calculated data vary depending on the city: In Helsinki, the division is based on the basic districts and in Vantaa, Espoo and Kauniainen on the division of statistical regions. The material has been formed as follows: 1. Separated from the YKR data from different years by municipality's squares (= centers of the squares) based on the municipality code 2. Attached to the centers of the boxes information on the regional division by location, partly also by hand at the edges of the areas 3. Aggregated column data by regionalisation 4. Cleaned tables by deleting redundant data and blurring some data, such as "less than 10" cases, for privacy reasons **The dataset contains the following characteristics** - ak_total Number of household-dwelling units, total - ak_1 Household-dwelling units, number of persons 1 - ak_2 Household-dwelling units, number of persons 2 - ak_3 Household-dwelling units, number of persons 3 - ak_4 Household-dwelling units, number of persons 4 - ak_5 Household-dwelling units, number of persons 5 - ak_6 Household-dwelling units, number of persons 6 - ak_7 Household-dwelling units, number of persons 7+ - henk_yht Total persons - ak_18v Household-dwelling units with under 18-year-olds - cars_1 Number of household-dwelling units with cars 1 - cars_2 Number of household-dwelling units with cars 2+ - in addition to unique identifiers, nomenclature, etc. **Please note with regard to the use of the material**: Due to the protection of privacy, no information has been received on all screens of the YKR data used as source material: Therefore, the material produced is not entirely accurate.
