Description
GE.Grounds 1:1 million is a transformed version of SGU's product Soils 1:1 million in order to meet the INSPIRE data specification for the Geology theme by coding according to GeoSciML 4.1.
The product is nationwide and reproduces the main features of Sweden's terrestrial geology. Accuracy varies because it is a compilation based on soil maps at different scales and with varying quality. The map image is very heavily generalized and the soil classification is roughly simplified. The smallest declared area is about 1 km2. The information is intended to be used only for overviews at national level and should be used with caution in the context of analysis.
