Description
Structures of articulation of the landscape of regional importance in the southern half of the Regional Natural Park of Millevaches in Limousin.
By revealing the spaces, the structures of articulation make up the frame of the territory and constitute the major elements of the landscape.
Some of these include:
— Morpho-geographical (cooked valley, flat bottom valley, summit, pass...)
— anthropogenic (signal road, architectural heritage, etc.).
Other elements complement these two broad genres, including:
— recognised panoramas,
— natural singularities (rocky chaos...),
— or villages occupying a point of articulation (such as a pass).
Depending on the character and “power” of structures in the landscape, the study distinguishes two categories; those of regional importance and those of local importance.
