Statements from the Medical Birth Registry
Description
The Medical Birth Register (MFR) contains information about births in Denmark from 1973 to the present day. Data is divided into a historical part and a current part. The historical part covers the period 1973-1996 and is based on form submissions. The current part covers the period from 1997 onwards, and is based on data from the Central Person Register (CPR), the National Patient Register (LPR) and form reports for homeborn and stillborn.
The statistics refer to the number of births and births broken down by a number of indicators, such as gender and weight. In addition, advanced information can be obtained on a range of data about the mother and the birth, including any complications.
