School regions are drawn up on the basis of information provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture. In Saarland there are a total of 6 school regions, 1. School region Saarbrücken; it comprises the municipalities belonging to the regional association Saarbrücken. 2. School region Saarlouis; it comprises the municipalities belonging to the Saarlouis district. 3. Merzig-Wadern school region; it comprises the municipalities belonging to the district Merzig-Wadern. 4. School region St. Wendel; it comprises the municipalities belonging to the district of St. Wendel. 5. School region Neunkirchen; it comprises the municipalities belonging to the district of Neunkirchen. 6.Schulregion Homburg/St. Ingbert; it includes the municipalities belonging to the Saar-Palatinate district [1].
