INTEMARES Nortitude of the marine space around Illes Columbretes
Description
The information contained in this data set is a raster with the north orientation at very high resolution (5x5) of the whole of the submerged environment of Illes Columbretes.
Specifically, it covers the area covered by SCIs ESZZ16010 "Marine area around Illes Columbretes" and ESZZ16004 "Marine area of Illes Columbretes"
The preparation of this set of geographical information began in 2020 thanks to the INTEMARES-COLCARTO_0220 oceanographic campaign and continued in 2021 with the INTEMARES-COLCARTO_0221 campaign, both developed within the framework of the INTEMARES project.
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
These works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
