INTEMARES_NIS_ALMERIA_0422_diving
Description
The information contained in this data set corresponds to the diving points of the censuses carried out between April 27 and May 6, in the campaign NIS_ALMERIA_0422, on board the B/O Francisco de Paula Navarro, with the aim of mapping the presence, abundance and distribution of Invasive and Alloctonous Species (EAI) in the Olive Dry SCI (LIC ESZZ16003), as well as the set of species present in the different sampled habitats (Posidonia and rocky infralittoral meadows).
This is the representation of the spatial distribution of sampling points along the coasts of Almeria.
It is a data set composed of point elements, where each element represents a dive station.
Each object is associated with a series of alphanumeric variables such as dive ID, transect number, date, autonomous community, locality, area, coordinates, roughness, slope, temperature, visibility, average depth and orientation (direction in which sampling was carried out from the starting point, this being each of the coordinates).
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
These works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
