Mean groundwater recharge 2021 - 2050

Description

The dataset contains the mean groundwater recharge in the period 2021-2050 modelled with the water balance model ArcEGMO based on the precipitation and temperatures from the regional climate projection WETTREG2010_A1B_66. During precipitation, WETTREG2010_A1B_66 projects decreases and thus provides the basis for estimating critical states of water supply for water management and water law issues. The regional averages of the Free State of Saxony of the average temperature and precipitation from 2021 - 2050 projected in WETTREG2010_A1B_66 correspond to the averages actually observed in 2014 - 2019. The projected temperature is currently two decades behind reality. Groundwater recharge in the solid rock area is defined as a slow groundwater runoff and in the loose rock area as a sum of slow and fast groundwater runoff. The data source is the water balance portal. For the local reference, the plausibility of the values by the user must be checked against. In principle, the scenario character of the mean values reported for groundwater recharge must be taken into account. Due to the real climate changes up to 2050, the declared values can be exceeded as well as under.
