Energy plants in the area of the FrankfurtRheinMain Regional Association: The Climate-Energy Atlas of the FrankfurtRheinMain Regional Association uses a wide variety of data to display the plant locations. These are 1:1. Combustion plants subject to emissions trading (Deutsche Emissionshandelsstelle DEHSt or Emission Trading System EU ETS)2. Combustion plants according to the pollutant release and transfer register PRTR (Umweltbundesamt UBA or European Environment Agency EEA)3. Combustion plants according to the Hessian emission register (HLNUG)4. Installations for renewable energy generation (Federal Network Agency BNA, EnergyMap of the German Solar Energy Association (DGS))5. Other data sources available on the Internet (EU, federal, state and district authorities, Hesse State Gazette, network operators, energy suppliers, etc.)6. Climate protection and energy concepts as well as individual data reports from the association municipalities and the districts Spatial location: The location of the energy systems is automated via a geocoding of the addresses specified in the registers. In the case of missing addresses, the attachments are geocoded (if possible) via the zip code of the municipality or the municipality name.
