Description
This service is a STAC (SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog). This STAC provides static digital orthophotos in the official projection system EPSG:25832 (ETRS 89, UTM Zone 32) for download via an API.
DOPs are produced from orientated aerial images and calculated for the newly recorded areas following an aerial flight. In a computer-aided process, the Oriented Aerial Images are projected onto the Digital Terrain Model DGM 5 and processed into ATKIS-DOP. The result is georeferenced, digital photorealistic images of the Earth's surface, in which a unique coordinate can be assigned to each pixel. ATKIS DOPs are true-to-scale and can thus be directly compared with maps of the same scale or digitally merged or superimposed with specialist data, e.g. road planning. The georeferencing of the ATKIS-DOP takes place in the European Terrestrial Reference System 1989 in conjunction with the Universal Transversal Mercator mapping in zone 32 (ETRS89/UTM32). The ATKIS-DOPs, which comply with the product standard of the Association of Surveying Administrations of the Federal Republic of Germany (ADV), are available throughout Lower Saxony. Depending on the image flights, they have been regularly updated within three years since 2011.
