Gravity points (SP) Saxony
Description
Gravity Fixed Points (SP) are fixed points of basic measurement, which with their gravimetrically determined severity values (the amount of drop acceleration) realise nationwide and nationwide heavier reference systems. They serve to determine the Earth’s figure (geoid determination), as the basis for heavy field-related corrections for measurements in the fixed-point field and as connection points for gravimetric special measurements with geological and geophysical tasks.
