Fish regions by HUET

Description

This classic model according to HUET (1949) makes a longitudinal zonal classification of the flowing waters on the basis of the gradient and the width of the water body. It is schematic and generalized, biological components are not taken into account. The designation of the individual regions is based on the typical main species of fish found there. Classification of fish regions by gradient and width of water: - trout region - grayling region - barbel region - lead region
