Description
The information contained in this dataset is a vector layer with the linear geomorphological interpretation of the study area.
The area comprising the data provided corresponds to the banks of Amanay and El Banquete and their surroundings, located on the southern margin of Fuerteventura, belonging to the archipelago of the Canary Islands and included in SCI ESZZ15002 Eastern and southern marine area of Lanzarote-Fuerteventura.
The raw data that constitute this vector layer were acquired during the campaigns carried out in the INDEMARES project: INFUECO_0611, INFUECO_1112 and INFUECO_1113. During the INTEMARES project, the bathymetric and reflectivity data available have been reprocessed, and new elevation models have been developed for the area. From these models, the reflectivity and the layers derived from bathymetry, the linear geomorphological interpretation of the area has been made.
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
The reprocessing works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
