11th PROGRAMME: PRIORITY WATER COURSE 2
Description
Different zonings have been defined to guide the implementation of the Agency’s intervention policies in the period 2019-2024.
Depending on the case, they correspond to:
eligibility criteria, i.e. projects must be located in the defined area in order to be eligible for Agency aid or an increase in the rate of Agency aid;
priority criteria, i.e. depending on the area in which the projects are located, they have priority or not to be awarded Agency support, in case the cumulative amounts of the different applications exceed the available budgetary envelope.
Rivers:
In line with hydromorphological costs/benefits, in order to identify the watercourses with the highest ecological stakes at the level of the Artois-Picardie Basin, priority zoning has been defined on the basis of the following elements, namely watercourses:
identified in the Master Plan for Water Planning and Management, in particular according to the classification of Article L. 214-17 of the Environment Code;
located in ‘eel’ priority action areas;
or with biological reservoirs.
These priority criteria are used to prioritise projects requesting Agency support for river works (maintenance, restoration and restoration of ecological continuity).
