Draft of the territorial scope of the Hydrographic Confederations, adjusted following the public consultation
Description
The cartography included in this service contains the draft official cartographic delimitation of the territorial areas of the Hydrographic Confederations defined in Article 1 of Royal Decree 650/1987, of 8 May, defining the territorial areas of the river basin bodies and the hydrological plans.
This cartography, adjusted with the contributions received during the public consultation, will be part of Order AAA/xxx/2017, of xx de xxxxxx, which defines the lines that indicate the cartographic limits of the territorial areas of the Hydrographic Confederations in accordance with the provisions of RD 650/1987, of May 8.
The purpose of this official cartographic delimitation is to have a precise reference that specifies the exact line that indicates the boundary between the two areas, an issue that sometimes gives rise to disputes based on the use of different topographic reference bases for the cartographic layout of the hydrographic divides. This cartography does not modify, as it could not be otherwise, the provisions of the aforementioned Royal Decree.
This cartography only includes the boundaries between Hydrographic Confederations, without representing either the international borders or the Coast line, since the officialization of these boundary lines (which will generate the closure in polygons of the areas of the Confederations) does not fall within the competence of this Ministry.
