Potentially shallow geothermal formation of Maassluis
Description
Commissioned by the province of Zuid-Holland, the study "Potential geothermal energy in Zuid-Holland" was carried out by IF-Technology, 2 December 2016. This map shows the potential of the formation of Maassluis. The formation is located at a depth of approximately 50 to 200 m-NAP. The potential for shallow geothermal energy (OGT) is defined as the amount of groundwater that can be extracted from the subsurface at a location to provide heat (flow rate in m3/h). Geothermal energy is also known as geothermal energy.
