IK 25 A - Engineering Geological Map 1:25.000 (analog)

Description

In the main map, the map compiles loose and solid rocks close to the surface according to composition and thickness into engineering geological units with the same or similar geotechnical properties. Ancillary maps show the rocks below the quaternary base and the thickness of the quaternary layers, the groundwater equilibrium, the floor level of the groundwater, the groundwater level trajectories as well as the boreholes taken into account in the map. Sections (25 times inflated) convey a three-dimensional image of the layer structure in connection with the map representations. Rock physical characteristics and particle size distributions provide information about the geotechnical properties of soil types. In addition, the brief explanations contain a geological and hydrogeological overview, descriptions of the geotechnical and soil mechanical properties of the layers as well as applications for planning questions and references to technical regulations (standards). The map sheets are available as georeferenced image files.
