Derogation from intensive livestock farm parcel Veenhuizen 18A in Onstwedde (Omgevings Ordinance)
Description
This stock contains a plot with a different scheme for intensive livestock farming in the provincial Environmental Ordinance of the Province of Groningen. This derogation allows the municipality of Stadskanaal to cooperate in the construction of a poultry stable on the Veenhuizen 18A plot in Onstwedde, provided that a number of conditions relating to sustainability and nitrogen deposition are met. The number of animals as authorised should not increase on balance on a provincial scale. A condition for the extension of the Veenhuizen 18A plot in Onstwedde is that the intensive livestock farm on the plot Dorpsstraat 18 in Vriescheloo has been legally and in fact definitively terminated. This derogation concerns an exception to the provincial policy in force. This is a pilot for a possible province-wide approach. Initially, this exception applies only to the aforementioned plots due to the location of both operating sites at a relatively short distance from the nitrogen sensitive nature reserve Lieftinghsbroek.
