Description
The phytoplankton interface contains public announcements of algal blooms and so-called main species observations made by microscopy of algal samples submitted in connection with the announcements.
In addition, the interface provides the names and size classes of phytoplankton taxa used in quantitative phytoplankton surveys for obligatory monitoring and national monitoring by water authorities, including historical data. The results of these quantitative studies are available in the phytoplankton information system of SYKE's Open Data service.
