The information includes holders, chosen concession mineral in the first place, name of the permit, application date, county, municipality, area of the permit in hectares, identification number and period of validity
The Mineral Rights dataset contains nationwide information on exploration permits applied for, granted and expired, as well as exploration permits during prohibition years. Processing concessions and land allocations applied for and granted, as well as peat concessions granted, are also included in the database. Holders, chosen first-hand mineral, name of the permit, date of application, county, municipality, area of the permit in hectares, identification number and period of validity are also shown.
The Mineral Rights data set is a working tool for the Mining Inspectorate, among other things, to check that, for example, a new exploration permit is never granted on an already occupied area. For those who want to investigate for concession minerals (companies and private individuals), information about current permits and history is interesting. For authorities and municipalities, the database is used for issues such as land use and spatial planning.
