Potential natural vegetation (PNV) of the state forest and municipal forest, Saarland
Description
The mapping of the potent natural vegetation (PNV) is an essential result of forest biotope mapping in the state forest (1990-2008) based on the mapping instructions “Full-surface forest biotope mapping in Saarland — editor: Minister for the Environment, Energy and Transport of Saarland — as of 1999. A differentiated spectrum of different forest societies is summarised for practical use. In comparison to the potentially natural vegetation available to the real existing vegetation, the closeness to nature of the vegetation composition of forests can be assessed. State Forest and Municipal Forest.
