Standard description of the Graphene Integration Platform (GIP) Austria
Description
The graphene integration platform Austria (GIP.at) forms the basis for new electronic administrative processes, especially in transport (e-government) and serves as the basis for an Austria-wide intermodal transport information platform. The GIP 2.0 standard description defines the consistency, interoperability and continuity of the subgraphs necessary for the Austrian-wide exchange of transport references.
The GIP standard description defines a standard and a minimum standard. The minimum standard specifies which data is mandatory for a GIP graph as a minimum equipment. It ensures that routing, cartographic representations and basic cross-border e-government applications (accident data location, exchange of road names and kilometrification information) work uniformly and cross-border throughout Austria.
The standard describes the form in which data content that goes beyond the minimum requirements is to be recorded in the GIP standard-compliant. It defines how to collect data, whereas the minimum standard defines the minimum data to be collected.
