Road accidents in Guyana,2018 (WFS service)
Description
WFS Service – Any road traffic accident known to law enforcement is subject to a BAAC sheet
(Bulletin of Analysis of Corporal Accidents) by the police or gendarmerie service territorially
competent.The national register of road traffic accidents, known as the “BAAC file”, brings together all the
BAAC informed by law enforcement. This BAAC file thus constitutes a database
essential to know the state and evolution of road insecurity and especially to understand the
mechanisms and factors explaining the accident.
Its statistical operations guide national and local road safety policies.
The National Interministerial Observatory for Road Safety (ONISR) is responsible for administration and
dissemination of statistics.
