Protected areas for cultural property Wuppertal

Description

The data series comprises the three data sets “Baudenkmäler Wuppertal”, “Soil monuments Wuppertal” and “Legally binding Monument Area Statutes Wuppertal”, which jointly provide the content for the layer “Protected Sites – Cultural” in the INSPIRE representation service of the city of Wuppertal. The layer is specified in the INSPIRE document “D2.8.I.9 Data Specification on Protected Sites – Technical Guidelines”, Version 3.2, Chapter 11. Only for this reason is the aggregation of the three data sets an identity as a data series. The data set “Baudenkmäler Wuppertal” is an extract of spatial data from the Wuppertaler Baudenkmal List, which provides all monuments with their non-personal attributes in geographical data formats. In terms of content, the data set includes the approximately 5000 listed buildings, structural installations (e.g. stairways) and small monuments in Wuppertal. The data set “Soil Monuments Wuppertal” is an extract of spatial data from the Wuppertal Memorial List, which provides all soil monuments (mostly underground archaeological monuments) with their non-personal attributes in geographical data formats. In terms of content, the data set comprises (as of 11/2017) 48 land monuments in Wuppertal. The data set “legally binding monument area statutes” covers the spatial scopes of all monument area statutes of the city of Wuppertal according to §5 Monument Protection Act NRW (DSchG NRW), constructed on the basis of the digital property map based on the contents of the statutes (plans and location descriptions). As of 03/2017, there is only one legally binding statute of monuments in Wuppertal, namely the one for the zoo district. All three records are available under an open data license (CC BY-ND 4.0) excluding the data change. In the opinion of the AG Geokom.NRW of the municipal umbrella associations in NRW and the state of NRW, there is a statutory publication obligation for this data series in accordance with the requirements of the INSPIRE Directive or the Geodata Access Act NRW. In the recommendation for action of this WG, it is assigned to the topic “protected areas” from Annex I to the Directive.
