Description
Various information available on wildlife, derived from work carried out in the Principality of Asturias to determine the presence, abundance or distribution of the species represented through a hexagonal mesh of 5 km2 of surface. The name of the layers indicates the reference species and the information represented (nature of the data). Some fields contained in the layer attributes table are derived from the INSPIRE standard.
* The cartography in general and the layers of each species of particular form are in continuous construction and renovation based on the realization of future works that modify or complement the information currently available.

For each of them, the following fields are defined:
Nom_hundred: Binomial nomenclature of the species (Gender + Specific epithet + Author and year of description).
Presence: Representation of presence with numeric characters (1 = presence).
Information: Representation of presence with alphabetic characters.
EIDOS_Id: Code associated with the species in the national standard list and EIDOS database, a tool that facilitates access to data on wild species within the national territory.
EUNOMEN_Id: Species identifier of the European Standard List EU-NOMEN, as specified in the pan-European species directory infrastructure, available through the web portal.
Symbol/Year: Most recent year of presence of the species in the hexagon. From this field the symbology of the layer is directly reflected.
The rest of the fields refer to the time series of presences for each species, which will vary for each one depending on the work that has been done or the available information, so some species will have a short time series and others, with a larger volume of data, longer. Records with value 0 would indicate absence of the species for the field year in a specific hexagon. On the contrary, the value 1 would indicate the presence of the species for a given field (year) and record (hexagon).
The symbology used varies from one species to another within a group to allow overlapping and comparison of layers, although, due to the limit in the range of colors available and the high number of species, some are repeated.
In the specific case of bats (chiroptera), grids with presence derived from the database of the Spanish inventory of terrestrial species have been added to the layers to complement the regional presence data.
