Health Environment Bord Table in Brittany — Edition 2021
Description
The regional health environment plan helps, through the impetus of action and the networking of stakeholders, to respond to the challenges identified in Brittany. The Scoreboard, produced by the OR, summarises the state of play indicators in Health and Environment for Brittany. The indicators were selected based on their availability, reliability, frequency of update and link to health. The following indicators are presented to objective the territorial disparities in the health status of the Breton population at the level of the 59 public institutions for intercommunal cooperation in Brittany (EPCI):
—Share of households in housing-related energy poverty in the Brittany EPCI in 2018
—Average commuting time (in minutes) by EPCI in 2018
—Standardised mortality rates from trachea, bronchial and lung cancer by EPCI in 2007-2016 (rate per 100,000 population)
—Standardised prevalence rate of long-term conditions (LDD) for cardiovascular diseases by EPCI in 2020 (rate per 100 000):
—Standardised rate of use of regular anti-asthmatic therapy in children under 15 years of age by EPCI in 2020 (rate per 1,000)
The rates were standardised to neutralise differences due to variables influencing the phenomenon studied, such as age, to allow for comparison between territories. Differences in rates can then be explained by other factors: the environment in particular, behaviour, living and working conditions, accessibility to care and prevention...
