Description
In this report of the Federal Environment Agency, calculations of noise emissions are compared with national and international methods. Eleven audit bodies took part in the comparison calculation. Both road traffic noise and the noise emanating from an interior of a building were considered. Immission measurements were also carried out. The interlaboratory test shows that test routines in emission modelling and precise instructions for the determination of sound emission are required. For environmental noise mapping, changes to the calculation settings currently set out in the rules are proposed. With regard to the measured emissions, it was shown that the Austrian calculation methods are equivalent to the interim methods of the EU.
