Evolution of Employment in the Public Sector 2013-2016
Description
This includes the staff of Ministries, Independent Authorities, Decentralised Administrations, Grade A and B Local Authorities and supervised legal entities governed by public law.
It includes data on the regular staff of the public sector, i.e. permanent employees/officials, employees with a private-law employment relationship of indefinite duration, employees with a salaried mandate and employees for tenure who are established upon its expiry (DEP Members, ESY Doctors, Special Guards).
It includes temporary staff, i.e. staff with a fixed-term private-law employment contract, a work contract, hourly and non-permanent employees, elected officials, non-permanent employees and other categories of employees (traineeships, etc.)
It should be noted that temporary staff also include employees recruited under co-financed and self-financed programmes and thus do not become a burden on the regular budget.
