Aircraft noise protection areas
Description
Aircraft noise zones have been calculated successively for a number of airports in Lower Saxony (e.g. Hanover, Bremen, Wunstorf and Wittmund).
The line shape ‘Noise protection area’ covers the area outside the airport area in which a certain noise pollution is exceeded (§§ 2 - 4 FluLärmG). For this area, the FluLärmG regulates construction prohibitions and restrictions, the requirement of passive noise protection measures and compensation for restrictions on residential use. There are several zones per plant.
