Description

This layer contains an orthophoto with a ground resolution of 50 cm, derived from an aerial survey of the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in the year 1967. A total of 451 digitized negatives, which were first georeferenced and then processed further, served as the basis for the product. The national high-altitude survey was conducted on 12.07.1967 by the company Aero Exploration GmbH at a scale of 1:40,000. The images are from the archives of the Surveyors and Photogrammetry Division (DGP) of the Luxembourg Ministry of Public Works. Due to storage constraint, the raster image is made available in Luxembourg national projection (EPSG:2169) rather than European projection (EPSG:3035). The raster in JP2 format can be downloaded from the URL provided in the INSPIRE GML under rangeSet/File/FileReference node or from the 'Source dataset' link in metadata information.
