Fish Zönotic Basic Formation (FZG) of the Saxon River Basin Surface Water Body (OWK)
Description
The FZG verifies the reference fishscenes in Saxony and summarises them into a manageable number of units. Each of these units is defined by characteristic fish-faunistic corners, each of which applies to larger contiguous areas of water. The basic fish zootechnical characteristics are an important basis for the preparation of management plans in accordance with the WFD. In combination with the results of fish monitoring and other data bases, it enables targeted preparation and prioritisation of action programmes to improve the ecological status of the OWK in Saxony.
