WMS Service corresponding to the Plan that is part of the collaboration that is being carried out between the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME) and the General Secretariat of Water of the Ministry of the Environment (current Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. Junta de Andalucía), within the -Technical assistance in the field of groundwater in Andalusia- with the intermediation of the Environment and Water Agency. This Technical Assistance is included in the -Strategy for the conservation of aquatic ecosystems related to Groundwater Masses-.
The project has involved a cataloguing and classification of springs and places of hydrogeological interest, and a detailed hydrogeological characterization of numerous sectors associated with a selection of springs and winning areas of Andalusia. The pressures that these sectors suffer in quantity and quality have been identified, and a proposal has been made for the zoning of the associated water bodies, in order to allow their conservation. In addition, it has been proposed the conditioning of numerous springs and / or winning sectors that will allow their control and monitoring as indicators of climate change or human action.
