Reporting Water Framework Directive 2010: limits of WISE-format ultramarine ELD sub-basins
Description
The administrative DCE sub-basin is an intermediate level of aggregation between the water body and the DCE basin. It was implemented at the end of 2008 at the request of the European Commission for reporting and visualization purposes within WISE (Water Information System for Europe).
In France, the administrative WFD sub-basin is defined as the area of competence of territorial commissions.
The only exceptions to the rule of dividing WFD basins into administrative WFD sub-basins are, in mainland France, the WFD basins: A, B1, B2, E and the overseas departments and territories. For them, the administrative ELD sub-basin is equal to the ELD pool.
The administrative DCE sub-basin is derived from the BDCarto® administrative theme. Its cartographic representation is the aggregation of the polygons of the municipalities composing it.
