Digital elevation model Hamburg Schummerungskarte / terrain relief

Description

The Schummerungskarte is a greyscale 2D image of a terrain created from 3D data (DGM1) for the area of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (excluding the area of the Hamburg Wadden Sea). The interplay of terrain heights and inclinations combined with a distant light source create a relief-like topography that visualizes a lively surface structure without absolute height values. In areas of buildings and shading (bridges), dense vegetation, especially areas in forest and shrub areas, the generated surface structure may differ. To counteract this effect, the representation is superimposed with the ALKIS building floor plans.
