Care regions, situation 04/02/2019 - correction 27/09/2019

Description

The classification of the Flemish Region into care regions is determined in the care region decree (https://codex.vlaanderen.be/Zoeken/Document.aspx?DID=1011102¶m=content&AID=1101198). The classification consists of multiple levels with a hierarchical structure based on natural spheres of influence. The levels are the regional-city, the small-town, sub-level 1 and sub-level 2, with the regional-city and the small-town taking precedence. Sub-level 1 and sub-level 2 are subdivisions of the smallest level into smaller units based on the number of inhabitants and/or the area.
