Description
Rijkswaterstaat measures different types of PFAS both in surface water and in suspended dust. This happens in various places in the Dutch surface water. The Poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are measured 13 times a year in the Westerschelde and Canal from Ghent to Terneuzen.
Together with Rijkswaterstaat and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province of Zeeland has mapped measurement data for the border locations. It concerns the measuring location Schaar van Ouden Doel in the Scheldt and the measuring point in the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal near Sas van Gent. The map shows the measured concentrations for a number of important PFAS.
