Singular Projects of Regional Interest (PSIR)
Description
The Singular Projects of Regional Interest (PSIR) are a spatial planning instrument provided for by Law 2/2001, of 24 June, on Territorial Planning and Urban Planning of the Land of Cantabria. As a spatial planning instrument, its determinations are supramunicipal in nature and condition the rest of spatial and urban planning figures of lower rank (General Urban Planning Plans and their development figures, and how many Special Plans are of a lower rank than this Law). Its scope is determined by the corresponding Declaration of Regional Interest (DIR), issued by the Governing Council of Cantabria on a public or private initiative.According to Law 2/2001, of 24 June, on Territorial Planning and Urban Planning of the Land of Cantabria (arts. 26 et seq.) the PSIRs are territorial planning instruments that aim to regulate the implementation of productive and tertiary installations and uses. rural development, tourism, sports, cultural, environmental improvement actions, housing subject to some public protection regime, as well as large facilities and services of special importance that have to settle in more than one municipality or that, even if they settle in a single one, transcend that area due to their economic impact, their magnitude or their unique characteristics. They can be developed in any type of land, regardless of their classification and urban classification, without prejudice to what is established in the rest of the territorial planning.This layer contains the perimeters of the Singular Projects of Regional Interest currently approved or in processing, understanding as such that they have at least a Declaration of Regional Interest with defined scope.Updated to 31/10/2014.
