Building and housing census – buildings – time series from 2011

The building and housing census as part of the register census and the coordinated employment statistics is a full survey of the buildings and housing as well as their characteristics as of 31 October. The register counting and the matched acquisition statistics are carried out by means of evaluation of administrative and register data. The building and housing census is based on the building and housing register (GWR) of Statistik Austria. The content concept is based on the EU Regulation on population and housing censuses and the Austrian National Register Census Act (BGBl. I. No 33/2006).
