CovidLux is a web application for smartphones, tablets and PCs with information about the coronavirus. Based on the traffic light system used by the Austrian government, a platform has been developed with which information can be obtained quickly and easily.
The CovidLux web application automatically collects official epidemiological data on Austria. These data are embedded in information visualizations and are intended to provide users with a clear overview of the current figures.
In addition, there is a built-in location function. This allows users to always be notified about the current traffic light color, depending on their current location.
The intention for the project was to provide people in Austria with all relevant data about the coronavirus in clear visualizations and on a single platform. High usability and an appealing design have been the top premise since day one.
The Austrian population is constantly confronted with innumerable sources of information and misleading headlines – this problem is to be solved. As a result, CovidLux should remove fear and uncertainty from all users and thus create more clarity about the current situation.
