WFD coordination areas in Lower Saxony
Description
The WFD requires the so-called river basin approach; all plans, studies or measures must cover the entire catchment area of a river across countries. In order to better coordinate management planning between countries, coordination spaces have been set up within river basins, which are also used for reporting to the EU.
