Description
The map for the water management and hydrogeological site qualification for the water permitability of geothermal probes contributes to the simplification of the permit procedure for the construction of geothermal probe plants in Rhineland-Palatinate. The map was drawn up on behalf of the Ministries for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy and Mobility (MUEEF) and for Economy, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture (MKUEM) by the State Offices for the Environment (LfU) and Geology and Mining (LGB). It is part of the Guide to the use of near-surface geothermal energy with geothermal probes and provides information on water permitability for approval authorities, planners and builders. It should be noted that the existing guide differs in parts from the location assessment of the current map with regard to the assessment of the eligibility for permission in medicinal spring protection areas.
