Nanotechnology at risk: Dialogue
Description
The initiative Risiko:dialog by Radio Österreich 1 and Umwelt - bundesamt stands for risk culture and initiates dialogues with actors and stakeholders, which are characterized by diversity and openness, in order to jointly expand scope for action for a precautionary handling of risks. This key technology has great potential and uncertainty. In order to involve consumers and stakeholders in a dialogue, the initiative launched a one-year dialogue process in autumn 2007 with workshops, panel discussions, radio contributions, web-based forums and background information with the aim of connecting different perspectives and offering orientation and exchange. The report describes the entire process and derives hints for the design possibilities of future dialogues.
