Road categorisation on provincial roads
Description
The road categorisation provides a classification of function and layout of provincial roads in Overijssel in which themes such as sustainability, spatial quality and quality of life play an important role. The aim of this is to have a good and differentiated range of provincial roads in Overijssel. When assigning the function and shape of a road, we not only looked at the economic function of a road, in which flow is central, but also at the significance of the area for quality of life, tourism and nature. It gives a classification of Power roads (120/100 km/h), Area access roads (GOW 80 km/h) and Erfaccess roads (ETW 60 km/h). The data were generated from the VIS (Traffic Information System).
