Circulating vehicle park: class. polluting emissions - EU standard
Description
Historical series since 2007 relating to the size of the vehicle fleet in circulation, by type of vehicle and European standards on polluting emissions (from Euro 0 to Euro 6). The data are calculated on the basis of the results on the legal status of the vehicles, extracting from the Public Motor Vehicle Register (P.R.A., the institute in which all events linked to the ‘legal’ life of the vehicle are recorded) the vehicles whose owners are resident in the Municipality of Milan. According to the international statistical definition, the annual "stock" of vehicles is equal to the number of vehicles recorded at 31/12. It therefore seems reasonable and advantageous to calculate the vehicle fleet starting directly from registration in the Public Automobile Register, while stressing that there may be some deviation between the so-called theoretical circulating (enrolled in the P.R.A.) and the one actually circulating on the road.
