State Museums: Visitors and income
Description
Numerous visitors and revenues of state museums based in Milan. Visitor data are collected, for paid museum institutions, from the tickets issued, while, for free museum institutions, they are estimated or collected from the attendance register or from a person counter device. The data of the revenues, deriving from the sale of tickets, are calculated gross and net of the quotas due to the concessionaires of the ticketing service, where present.
Notes to the reading of the dataset:
- the Milan museum circuit was suppressed in December 2004, including Cenacolo Vinciano, Pinacoteca di Brera and Museo Teatrale alla Scala
- gross receipts means gross of the share due to the concessionaire of the ticketing service, if any
