Censuses 1991, 2001, 2011: Indicators relating to the presence and integration of foreigners
Description
The dataset contains statistical indicators relating to the presence and integration of foreigners calculated on the basis of data from the Census 2011, 2001 and 1991. The indicators are calculated at three levels of detail: Municipality of Milan; 9 municipalities; 69 NIL with a population of more than 3,000 inhabitants. For a limited number of indicators, 1991 and 2001 data are only disseminated at municipal level. The indicators are defined as follows:
* 1) Foreigners per 100 residents (Percentage ratio between the foreign population and the total population);
* 2) Ten-year percentage change in foreigners (Percentage ratio between the change in the foreign population between two censuses and the foreign population at the previous census );
* 3) Average age of foreigners (Average of ages weighted by the amount of foreign population in each age);
* 4) Foreign minors per 100 foreigners (Percentage ratio between the foreign minor population and the total foreign population);
* 5) Young foreign students per 100 young foreign students (15-24 years old) (Percentage ratio between the foreign population of 15-24 years old student and the total foreign population of 15-24 years old);
* 6) Foreign employment rate (Percentage ratio between employed foreigners aged 15 and over and the total number of foreigners of the same age group).
