Censuses 1991, 2001, 2011: Education and labour indicators
Description
The dataset contains statistical indicators relating to education and work calculated on the basis of data from the Census 2011, 2001 and 1991. The indicators are calculated at three levels of detail: municipality of Milan; 9 municipalities; 69 NIL with a population of over 3,000 inhabitants. The indicators are defined as follows:
* 1) Young people without an average license per 100 young people (Percentage ratio between the population of 15-19 years with educational qualifications below the average license and the population of 15-19 years);
* 2) Young people with a medium degree leaving the school system before graduation every 100 young people (Percentage ratio between the population of 15-24 years old non-student with a medium degree as the highest educational qualification and the population of 15-24 years old);
* 3) Active young people per 100 inactive young people (Percentage ratio between the active and non-active population of 15-24 years);
* 4) Youth unemployment rate (Percentage ratio between young jobseekers aged 15-24 and the active population aged 15-24);
* 5) Activity rate (Percentage ratio between the working population aged 15 and over and the total population aged 15 and over);
* 6) Employment rate (Percentage ratio between the employed population aged 15 and over and the total population aged 15 and over);
* 7) Unemployment rate (Percentage ratio between the jobseeker population aged 15 and over and the active population aged 15 and over);
* 8) Graduates each adult with only the medium license (Relationship between the resident population of 25-64 years with diploma or degree and the resident population of the same age class with medium license);
* 9) Young adults with university education per 100 young adults (Percentage ratio between the population aged 30-34 with university degree and the total population aged 30-34; objective of the Europe 2020 Strategy);
* 10) Young people not in employment or education per 100 young people (Percentage ratio between the population aged 15-29 who are neither students nor in employment and the total population aged 15-29). NOTE: ACTIVATED population means the sum of employed and jobseekers, INACTIVATED population means those who do not work and do not look for work, including for example students or housewives.
